What is Metaverse? Guide by GameInfinity
The Digital Universe.
Metaverse is basically the network of 3d objects that represent a place, an event, interactions, and any activities in virtual form.
The Metaverse will allow users to play, meet friends, attend an event, travel places, join online classes and do a lot of things virtually that are being done in real life.
Usually experienced with virtual and augmented reality headsets, the users can simply wear the headset device that is also interconnected with other functional devices like audio sets, joysticks ..etc
For an Instance,
Back in the early '20s, meeting people online was a big deal and seemed complex or impossible, but the social media sites like Facebook, zoom.. are something that was merely imagined.
Similarly, after 5–10 years we will be able to Meet people virtually, talk to them, play with them, and attend concerts with limited seats while experiencing all this happening in real.
The Birth
The word Metaverse is combined from “Meta” means “beyond” and “Verse” is taken from the word Universe.
It was first Coined by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 dystopian novel Snow Crash, Back then the word has been represented as the ultimate evolution of the Internet wherein the real world aspects can be experienced in the virtual too with the same impact.
When will we see it?
The Metaverse is a complete technology task and as we see, it has already begun and by the timespan of 5–10 years, we will be able to see the full-scale version of this.
The VR and AR devices are already in use for entertainment purposes with one-sided interaction.
Companies like Facebook & Microsoft have put their strong belief in Metaverse and dedicatedly working on it.
